How to buy land in the metaverse
Part 1: Buying land with F24
2) Navigate the world to NYC.
3) Click the land and a pop-up will show you that #453 is not taken yet.
4) Drag the map to London, #8562 from New Bond Street is not taken either.
5) You can see that land parcels occupied by owners of 3-digit accounts are larger than those occupied by owners of 4-digit accounts.
6) Now let’s take the #8481 in Avenue Champs-Elysées of Paris. If no Ethereum wallet is connected to the Fiat24 system yet, a purple button will ask you to connect. In this case, we choose MetaMask.
7) In this case, we have an Ethereum address with sufficient F24 token inside. This 4-digit account number and corresponding metaverse land parcel will cost 1500 F24.
8) If your address has the required amount or more, the "Buy with F24" button will be activated.
9) Follow the steps in the wallet to approve to execute buying the Fiat24 NFT with this account number and land parcel. It takes several seconds to mine the NFT to your wallet.
10) The account #8481 is ready.
11) If you click the avatar on the top left corner, you will see all balances of this account.
12) Now we change the default nickname to 'My First Metaverse Shop'. The nickname is public seen and you are the only person who can change it. The transaction is done in blockchain, so it will also take several seconds to confirm the transaction on the blockchain.
13) If you go back to the metaverse map, you can see that account #8481 account is taken with new nickname.
Part 2: Buying land with Ether
2) Now we try to buy another piece of land with Ether instead of F24 in Barcelona.
3) We choose #1714 and connect to a new address with MetaMask. In this case, we prepared a new address with Ether, but no F24.
4) The information box shows you that ca. 0.006 Ether need to be charged to buy this number.
5) Follow the steps in the wallet to approve to execute buying the Fiat24 NFT with this account number and land parcel. It takes several seconds to mine the NFT to your wallet.
6) The account #1714 is ready.
7) If you click the avatar on the top left corner, you will see all balances of this account.
8) Refresh the map and go to Barcelona, where you can see that the number #1714 is taken.
