# MasterCard Debit

### Introduction <a href="#where-and-how-can-i-use-my-fiat24-card" id="where-and-how-can-i-use-my-fiat24-card"></a>

The Fiat24 Card is a MasterCard Debit card that you can top up through the Fiat24 dApp. The card is issued to you in multiple currencies (<mark style="color:purple;">**EUR**</mark>, <mark style="color:purple;">**USD**</mark>, <mark style="color:purple;">**CHF**</mark> and <mark style="color:purple;">**RMB**</mark>) and your card balances will be shown in that currency.

Fiat24 Debit Card is used to pay for goods and services and with 20+ millions merchants who accept <mark style="color:purple;">**MasterCard**</mark> credit or debit cards.

The Fiat24 Debit Card is a <mark style="color:purple;">**virtual card**</mark> only without PIN.

We support <mark style="color:purple;">**Apple Pay, Google Pay**</mark>, <mark style="color:purple;">**Samsung Pay**</mark> and most other digital wallet.

### Eligibility <a href="#am-i-eligible-to-order-a-fiat24-debit-card" id="am-i-eligible-to-order-a-fiat24-debit-card"></a>

All Fiat24 verified user are eligible for the Debit Card, without any extra application process.

### Activating Card

In the Fiat24 dApp, you will find the card icon from side bar.

### Minimal Balance Required

You must have a minimal account balance to activate the card.

* 10 EUR for **Eurozone** Countries
* 10 CHF for **Switzerland**

### Activate the Card

Click the **Activate** button and you will need to approve the spending. After approval, the card will be available to use in a few seconds.

### Spending Rules <a href="#why-has-my-payment-been-rejected" id="why-has-my-payment-been-rejected"></a>

Each Fiat24 user can freely set the debit card spending rules.

* **Direct Pays** option\
  Every Fiat24 account has 4 currencies: EUR, CHF, USD and RMB, and you can enable the Direct Pay option for all or some of them.\
  If your card transactions are in these currencies, the corresponding balance will be charged first, avoiding unnecessary foreign exchange fees.
* **Default Card Currency**\
  You are free to select a different primary card currency to settle payments for which your payment currency balance is insufficient to cover the full transaction (no splitting across currencies).\
  The amount will be converted into your card currency and debited from your account.

### Spending Limits <a href="#why-has-my-payment-been-rejected" id="why-has-my-payment-been-rejected"></a>

Our cards come in three tiers: Standard, Premium, and Ultimate, catering to different customer needs. The most common choice is the Standard card.

The card tier will be upgraded when the user upgrade their NFT to a higher level.

### Restricted Transactions <a href="#why-has-my-payment-been-rejected" id="why-has-my-payment-been-rejected"></a>

&#x20;Your payment will be <mark style="color:red;">**rejected**</mark>, when the card is used in:

* Any merchants within [OFAC sanctioned countries or entities](https://ofac.treasury.gov/sanctions-programs-and-country-information)
* Automated Fuel Dispenser
* Money Transfer business
* Quasi Cash / Customer Financial Institution
* Security Broker/Dealer
* Gambling, Lottery or Casino
* Charity Organisation
* Civic, Social, and Fraternal Association
* Political Organisation
* Religious Organisation

Some of the following payments are <mark style="color:red;">**limited**</mark> in certain countries:

* Public Transportation
* Utility Bills
* In-flight shopping
* USA only : Fine dining restaurant with gratuity paid separately

### Refund

If the original spending was in USD, EUR, CHF, or RMB, the refund will go directly to your account balance in the same currency.&#x20;

For other currencies, such as SGD or GBP, the refund will be converted to your Default Currency.

Refunds usually arrive within 7 days. For cross-border transactions, it may take up to 30 days.

### One-time Password (OTP) per Email

During the **online purchase**, the cardholder may be asked to provide a one-time password (OTP) sent to their <mark style="color:purple;">**email**</mark>, which is registered with their Fiat24 account.

This process is called 3-D Secure (3DS) , which is designed to be an additional security layer for online transactions. The Payments Services Directive (PSD2) regulations stipulate that merchants must be compliant with the Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) procedures from 1st January 2021.

### Card Renew

All MasterCard card is valid for 5 years. Your card will automatically be renewed under the same terms. However, if your card has not been used in the 6 months before its' expiration, your card will not be renewed.

### Protect your card

#### When your card is blocked <a href="#why-is-my-fiat24-card-blocked-and-what-can-i-do" id="why-is-my-fiat24-card-blocked-and-what-can-i-do"></a>

Your card can sometimes get blocked if the system detects some unusual or suspicious activity or if there is another issue that requires your attention. Please check your dApp to see if you card has been blocked, and you can unblock the card.

#### When your card is stolen <a href="#what-do-i-do-if-my-fiat24-card-is-stolen" id="what-do-i-do-if-my-fiat24-card-is-stolen"></a>

All Fiat24 Cards are virtual cards, so the card itself cannot be stolen. However, if your private key, which holds your Fiat24 NFT, is stolen, your card is very possibly at risk of being misused. You should then transfer your money and Fiat24 NFT into a different secured blockchain address as soon as possible.

#### What you suspect your card has been compromised <a href="#what-do-i-do-if-i-suspect-my-fiat24-card-has-been-compromised" id="what-do-i-do-if-i-suspect-my-fiat24-card-has-been-compromised"></a>

If you suspect your Fiat24 Card has been compromised in any way, please disable (or lock) your card through the Fiat24 dApp immediately.

Each block or un-block action will lock the action for 24 hours, you could change the status in the next day.

#### Who is the issuer of Fiat24 MasterCard Debit <a href="#what-do-i-do-if-i-suspect-my-fiat24-card-has-been-compromised" id="what-do-i-do-if-i-suspect-my-fiat24-card-has-been-compromised"></a>

SR Saphirstein AG, based in Switzerland, owns the Fiat24 brand and serves as the principal issuer of MasterCard. The first 8 digits of the Fiat24 card, known as the BIN, are [5481 0849](https://developer.mastercard.com/product/bin-lookup/).&#x20;
